Site Survey & Design
We assess your ground conditions, measure accurately, and discuss block choices, colors, and patterns. You'll receive a detailed quote with visual design if required.
Excavation & Disposal
Dig out to minimum 250mm depth (more if soft ground). Remove all existing surface and unsuitable material. Dispose of waste responsibly at licensed facilities.
Sub-Base Installation
Install minimum 150mm compacted MOT Type 1 limestone in layers. Use plate compactor for proper compaction. Ensure correct falls toward drainage (typically 1:60).
Edge Restraints & Bedding
Concrete edge courses haunched in place to contain blocks. Lay 40mm sharp sand bedding layer, screeded level. Install drainage channels where required.
Block Laying & Cutting
Lay blocks in chosen pattern from one corner outward. Maintain tight joints. Cut edge blocks accurately with block splitter or saw. Work from laid blocks to avoid disturbing bedding.
Compaction & Jointing
Plate compact blocks to settle into bedding sand. Sweep kiln-dried jointing sand into gaps. Compact again. Repeat until joints are full. Final cleanup and inspection.
